Weita AG is a leading expert for consumables in Switzerland and, as part of the Bunzl Group, specializes in the areas of medicine, industry, cleaning, gastronomy, and related services. Around 180 employees ensure customer-specific just-in-time delivery. Also because of the daily quantity of materials, Weita has a major impact in the area of sustainability and permanently incorporates ecological, economic, and social sustainability aspects into its activities.
Our first task was to publicly present this claim and responsible action with professional sustainability communication. Since then, we have been advising and supporting Weita strategically and operationally around a clear sustainable positioning as well as sustainability marketing, sustainability communication, and currently also sustainability reporting.

Every effective communication requires a well-established strategy. Especially in the area of sustainability, because here it is important to avoid greenwashing from the outset. The basis for this was an individual sustainability workshop and subsequent communication strategy including positioning. New claim: “Think further. Act sustainably.”
The starting point for the design of the sustainability website was a new look and feel to transfer the developed values into a modern, appealing visual world. The creative visual implementation paved the way for adapting the entire CI/CD to the sustainable look. Tasks also included: a revised homepage to help the company visibly achieve sustainable branding on its most important digital platform. For us, this is sustainability communication in the best sense.
A conceptually well-thought-out sustainability communication is made for different stakeholders, is authentic, evidence-based, and has a clearly recognizable story. It reports on milestones, but also on set goals that are still out of reach. Weita packed all of this with us into the company’s first sustainability brochure. Based on the look of the website, a creative concept including content creation was developed. Always with added value for stakeholders and within the company. Further activities to date: Corporate publishing with sales brochures and flyers, as well as a compliant sustainability report.
